DANTE'S DIVINE COMEDY in Four Volumes, 1909. Author: Dante
Alighieri. Translated into English by Henry
Wadsworth Longfellow. Editor: Charles Welch. This set is
complete In 4 leather bound volumes with gilded top page edges
and raised band gilded spines. This edition was published by the
Chesterfield Society of London & NY in conjunction with Bigelow-Smith
Publishers NY.
Each volume of this Limited Deluxe edition is individually numbered 105
(of 1000). Each volume contains approximately 450 pages and
measures 8.5x5.75. No jackets as issued.
Condition of The Set
All bindings are tight and all
covers and spines intact and secure. The Seller states there are
very few defects other
than
some minor scuffing at the top and bottom of the spines as seen in above photos. Volume I indicates a
chip of less than 1" at base of
spine with no loosening of pages or starting of
spine. The interior pages are almost pristine, with no
discoloration, foxing, writing, or rips. Overall, this set
may be considered Good+/Very Good+. |
